Brian Uhler (brianuhler.local4all.com) says you can post your stuff free? That’s true with a couple of limitations.
- Family-friendly, child-safe: Yes, we reserve the right to remove objectionable content even if we’re the only ones who object.
- USA neighborhoods: Our system of sorting events and local information is based on the USA zip code system so if you’re trying to promote something that is outside the US, we might have a problem. Send us an email so we can check out options.
Local4All forms allow you to register businesses, nonprofits, and government entities. Events can be posted plus 16 categories of ‘non-events’. Even a thank you can be posted online. Check it out and get started.

We have a few spaces left on these placemats but not many. If you want to place a bid and be on a waiting list, check out the prices at Placemats >> Schedule and give us a call. If we run out of space, ok, but if you happen to get a GREAT price in your area of choice, it’s a win-win.

Did ya knows…..
- Did you know that StrongLand Chamber members get an extra $10 off?
- Did you know that the best prices are for ‘ongoing’ advertisers? Call to get a quote.
- Did you know that we often include community events in our word search puzzle if they are on our Local4All calendar?
- Did you know that nonprofits can earn $$ by helping us sell a few ads to their neignborhood businesses and annual event sponsors? Probably not. Why not? It’s win-win
Busy morning, have to run.

First drafted early Spring 2010.
Neill and Evelyn have a great view from their shop’s front window. Although the water level in the Kiski River is still high from the recent rains and snow-melt, it won’t be long before the water warms up and we’ll see canoes and kayaks pulling in from where they started upriver, Vandergrift, Apollo or Avonmore.
I sat in their parking lot overlooking the river a few minutes before they opened and thought how nice it would be to have an office here. Neat idea, just don’t look for me there tomorrow.

Shelby typed everything into this post except the link for a verified Local4All map and, with a little bit more coaching, she can do that too. Thank you, Shelby! ]

Little did I know that Joy Mulkern’s invitation to connect on LinkedIn.com would result in a win-win within 24 hours of reading. She and her husband Jim have two businesses and need to be somewhat frugal in how they spend their advertising budget. They chose to invest in our ‘Enhanced Brochure’ which allows their customers to post comments. I’m looking forward to hearing more about them. http://polywood.local4all.com
As most of you know, I am always looking for new and fresh content for our website and check out these black and gold rockers!
Great decor for the Steelers faithful
Got any Steeler fans in the family? Here’s a novel gift idea.
Their other business is building Jim Barna log homes and, while financing has been a struggle for some of their buyers in the past two years, they say 2010 has a lot of potential. You can read about the J&J (Jim and Joy) Experience on their log homes website – http://www.jimbarnaofpa.com – and see some really nice pictures.
Who would guess that a misplaced utility knife would result in Bryan getting a job (he says he prayed for a job the night before) and Local4All finding a young man with the abilities and willingness to make a difference in the community?
Not long ago I had searched high and low for a box-cutter knife to take with me delivering placemats – almost as important as delivery slips and gas in the tank. Not finding one in either vehicle, nor in the house, toolbelt, toolbox, or office, I decided to visit Family Dollar at the corner of N. Jefferson St. and Market St. to buy one. Bryan was there as a volunteer pushing a wheelchair – three ladies were on a field trip from the Health Center, all three in wheelchairs and having a great time. I overheard one of them saying they “sure wish Bryan could find a job”.
Carl: “You’re looking for a job?”
“Yes I am.”
“I’m looking for someone to help me deliver placemats.”
“When?”
“Now. Ready to go?” I was kidding but also fishing…
Bryan hesitated just a little… “I have to push her back to the Health Center but after that I could go.”
Me: “I can wait ten minutes. Would it be ok if I pick you up at the Health Center?” I talked with his volunteer coordinator Hannah to make sure she was ok with me taking him… the last thing I want is to create hardships and she might have really needed him for something else that day. She assured me that it was more than ok, they were hoping he would find a job.
In less than 20 minutes we were on the road to pick up placemats at BUD Transport. Here’s the fun part… I’m convinced that God works in mysterious ways. We jumped in the van after the first stop and Bryan from the navigator seat placed on the console a red steel utility knife, the one I had been looking for all along.
“Where did you find that?”
“It was in the back under some boxes.”
From me to God “Thank you”.
To Bryan, “You know? If I had found that myself this morning, you wouldn’t be sitting here with me. The only reason I was in Family Dollar was looking for a knife to cut boxes and God hid it from me.”
Bryan is on his 7th day with Local4All and has been out with me several times making deliveries. He also made his first placemat ad sale yesterday to Let It Shine Commercial Cleaning and signed up Eazor’s restaurant in New Kensington for placemat, two of the many ways he can help us and our community.
